Incubator for queen cells

An incubator for rearing queen cells essentially corresponds to a brood incubator in which future queen bees can develop safely. The developing queens are cared for outside the colony under ideal climate and temperature conditions until the moment of emergence approaches. In practice, beekeepers use various terms for this device: some refer to it as a queen rearing box or a queen bee brood box. In traditional terminology, the term queen brood chamber (“Weisel” being the Old High German word for the queen) is also used. Despite these different names, they all refer to the same concept: a temperature-controlled box that enables the controlled development of queen cells.
