Buying a bee colony - The first steps

Any career as a beekeeper, whether pursued as a hobby or profession, begins with the acquisition of a bee colony. In doing so, you should especially consider the individual characteristics of the different bee species, as there are striking differences in terms of behavior, but also the amount of honey produced. In our Bienenzucht Profi online shop you can buy bee colonies that have proven to be particularly gentle, vital and high-yielding. We rely mainly on Carnica and Buckfast colonies, which are already at home in many European countries and are optimally adapted to the local climatic conditions. The sale of bee colonies in our store is very simple: Choose the desired subspecies, the desired quantity and between a colonization on „Dadant Blatt“ or „Zander“ - then we prepare the delivery in species-appropriate boxes for you. Our bee colonies contain a total of five frames, three of which are provided with brood, one frame is "in production" and one frame is „under construction“. For more information or practical tips on beekeeping, you can of course contact our customer service, which will be happy to assist you before and after ordering. You can reach us by phone or email - we are always keen to answer your questions as quickly as possible, as the welfare of the animals is very important to us. Buy bees colonies - Carnica on Zander frames

In German-speaking countries, the hive is usually supplemented with Zander or Dadant to provide a comfortable home for the bees and to obtain a large amount of honey. The dimensions are standardized, so you can easily put the bees colonies in your hive without causing additional stress to the animals. Our hive sale includes 3 frames with brood, one frame currently in production, and one under construction. Carnica bees have proven to be extremely docile and swarming, but at the same time they are efficient and high-yielding. Carnica bees are a natural subspecies of the western honey bee and originate from Austria and Yugoslavia, but have since become established throughout Europe. Due to this origin, the bees are already perfectly adapted to the climatic conditions in Germany and are very insensitive to heat and cold. Therefore, overwintering is also possible without further ado. Of course, our Carnica bees are treated against Varroa before shipment - a corresponding health certificate is enclosed with each delivery. In addition, a detailed, professional inspection of each colony takes place before each shipment to ensure complete health. The bee colonies on Zander are available only in limited numbers, so it is worthwhile to pre-order early. Delivery always takes place at the end of April or beginning of May. It is a young colony, which is supplemented with an experienced and a mated queen. Our standard Carnica on Zander will fit in almost any hive designed to use Zander.

Bee colonies on Dadant Blatt - the good alternative to Zander

While for classical beekeepers Zander is still the method of choice, especially for young beekeepers Dadant Blatt is becoming more and more popular. The frames correspond to the standardized dimensions of 470 x 300 mm and are therefore suitable for any hive that is designed for the classic Dadant Blatt. Dadant goes back to one of the most famous beekeepers of the last centuries - Brother Adam, who was then convinced of the dimensions still used today. Of course, we would also like to offer you the possibility to build up a beekeeping on the basis of Dadant Blatt - and therefore we offer you the bee colony on classic Dadant. Here, too, we use the particularly peaceful and swarm-bearing bee species Carnica, which at the same time is characterized by its efficient and high-yielding traits. Our colonies on Dadant are treated against varroa in advance and sent to you with a copy of the health certificate. Also a professional health check takes place before each delivery to guarantee you the best quality. The delivery of the colonies takes place at the end of April or beginning of May, depending on the weather conditions, but advance orders are possible at any time. Each colony of young bees comes with three frames of brood, a frame "in production" and one „under construction“, as well as a queen that has already been mated in advance. Please note that we have a limited supply of bees - so timely ordering is essential for our planning and timely delivery to you. If you want to buy a colony of bees, the online store of Bienenzucht Profi is exactly the right place to go. In our online store you can buy a whole bee colony, but the stock is limited.
