Product information "Package bees with an island-mated Carnica queen."
Artificial swarm with island-mated Carnica queen
Order your island-mated Carnica bee swarms now from a professional bee breeder! Each year, delivery of the colonies takes place between late June and late July. Depending on the prevailing temperatures and weather conditions, we can announce the exact delivery dates approximately 2–7 days before dispatch.
We ship our island-mated Carnica artificial swarms in specially manufactured transport boxes, containing the entire swarm with approximately 1.5 kg of bees. Included in the shipment is a queen introduction cage holding the island-mated Carniolan queen, supplied with sufficient food and attendant bees.
This ensures that the bees receive adequate oxygen throughout transport and are optimally cared for by both the swarm and the food supply in the queen cage.
Our island-mated Carnica artificial swarms are especially advantageous if you wish to keep bees independently of hive format, as the swarm can be installed in any hive system, whether Dadant US or Blatt, Zander, Deutsch Normalmaß, Langstroth, or other hive types.
Island-mated Carnica bee swarm purebred, high-yield, and ideal for breeding
Our island-mated Carnica queen is gentle, swarm-resistant, produces abundant brood, and ensures high honey yields. Each queen is marked with two colors, regardless of the annual color code.
You will also receive the pedigree documentation of your purebred queen, allowing you to review all quality traits in detail.
The queen is a descendant of an artificially inseminated purebred breeder queen, selected according to strict breeding criteria. The genetic material used for the artificial insemination of the mother queen was also carefully selected.
Mating takes place in isolation from other bee races on a North Sea island, ensuring that only explicitly selected drones are involved in mating. These drones are likewise chosen according to breeding standards.
The highest quality requirements are applied and maintained for this queen, enabling you to work confidently with purebred Carnica colonies and, for example, breed your own queens.
Island-mated Carnica artificial swarm colony and queen combined
Per colony, you will receive approximately 1.5 kg of bees including an island-mated queen, delivered directly from the beekeeper. These bees are characterized by their exceptional gentleness.
Before shipment, each Carnica swarm undergoes a thorough health inspection. The corresponding health certificate is available and will be sent to you after you receive the bees.
Naturally, all island-mated Carnica bees are pre-treated against the Varroa mite, ensuring that you purchase healthy, vigorous, and high-quality bees.
With our island-mated Carniolan queen, you receive pedigree documentation, allowing you to precisely assess the queen’s individual traits thanks to island mating, an important advantage for breeding and queen rearing.
Whether you are a beginner seeking security when purchasing a queen, or a professional beekeeper looking to introduce new genetics into your breeding program, you will receive a queen of the highest quality standard.
Pedigrees and the final breeding certificate are usually provided at the end of the season in September, after all necessary data has been collected and evaluated. Please note the identification codes on the queen cage upon arrival so we can prepare the appropriate documentation for you.
