Order the island-mated Ligustica artificial swarms from Bienenzucht-Profi now. Each year, delivery of the colonies takes place between late June and late July. Depending on temperatures and weather conditions at that time, the exact delivery date will be announced approximately 2–7 days before dispatch.

We ship the island-mated Ligustica artificial swarms in specially manufactured transport boxes containing the entire swarm with approx. 1.5 kg of bees. Included in the shipment is an introduction cage in which the island-mated Ligustica queen is transported together with sufficient food and attendant bees. This ensures that the bees always receive enough oxygen during transport and are optimally supplied with food both within the swarm and in the introduction cage.

The queen is a descendant of an artificially inseminated purebred queen selected according to strict breeding criteria. The genetic material used for insemination of the mother queen was also carefully selected. Mating takes place in isolation from other races on a North Sea island, ensuring that only explicitly selected drones are used for mating. These drones are likewise chosen according to breeding standards.
The highest quality standards apply to these queens, allowing you to confidently keep purebred Ligustica colonies and, for example, propagate queens within your own breeding program.

Per colony, you receive approx. 1.5 kg of bees including an island-mated queen, directly from the beekeeper. The bees are characterized by exceptional gentleness.
