Buy a queen bee from our own beekeeping operation
Every healthy bee colony depends on a queen that holds the community together and ensures its continued existence. This important role makes it essential to focus on excellent quality and optimal character traits when purchasing a queen bee – only then can it be ensured in the long term that your bee colony remains healthy, productive and gentle.
At the Bienenzucht-Profi online shop, you can buy queen bees originating from the pure breeding lines Carnica or Buckfast. You can choose between naturally mated and mating-station-mated queens, which we then ship to you in specially designed transport boxes. If you have any questions about our Carnica or Buckfast queen bees, feel free to contact us by phone (+49 (0) 6187 / 207 57 86) or email.

Buy queen bees – the Carnica queen for gentleness and high yield
A queen is essential to ensure the survival of your bee colony. The quality of breeding plays a decisive role, but the breed itself should also be considered. The Carnica queen is known for her exceptional gentleness, which is also reflected in her offspring. At the same time, Carnica bees are highly swarm-reluctant, productive and high-yielding – making them ideal for further breeding. When ordering a queen bee from our Bienenzucht-Profi online shop, you can choose between naturally mated and mating-station-mated queens.
For optimal identification, we mark all queens with the current annual color before shipping – allowing you to easily see the year in which the queen was introduced. When purchasing queen bees from our online shop for beekeepers and professionals, you can be sure that you are receiving purebred Carnica queens whose genetic purity has been strictly monitored. This also ensures that the distinctive characteristics are preserved in future generations.
Before shipping, each queen undergoes a thorough health inspection. Upon request, we also include a comprehensive health certificate with your order. For transport, we use a special introduction cage containing attendant bees and sufficient food supply. If you purchase a Carnica queen bee, she can be easily integrated into a bee colony, provided no other (unmated) queen is present and all emergency queen cells have been removed. Should any questions remain, our Bienenzucht-Profi team is always happy to assist.

Buckfast queen – the vital and gentle alternative
In addition to the Carnica bee, the Buckfast breed has become increasingly widespread in Germany and across Europe in recent years. This hybrid bee, bred from several different strains, displays nearly the same level of gentleness as the Carnica bee, while being noticeably more vigorous. In terms of productivity, work ethic and low swarming tendency, both breeds are equally impressive.
Thanks to these positive traits, you can also purchase the classic Buckfast queen bee from our online shop – available either naturally mated or mating-station-mated. Before every sale, all queen bees undergo a thorough health check. If desired, a health certificate can be included with the shipment.
When ordering a queen bee from the Bienenzucht-Profi online shop, she is marked with the current annual color for clear identification. As we exclusively offer purebred Buckfast queens from instrumental insemination, you can rely on the promised characteristics. You will receive a queen that is also ideally suited for breeding within your own colony.
For shipping, we naturally use special introduction cages for our Buckfast queens as well, including attendant bees and sufficient food and water.

Naturally mated or mating-station-mated – ordering a queen bee
In the Bienenzucht-Profi online shop, you can not only choose between Carnica and Buckfast queen bees, but also decide whether the queens are delivered as naturally mated or mating-station-mated. Understanding the difference between these methods is essential. The choice of mating method is entirely up to you. If you have more detailed questions, our team of professional beekeepers will be happy to advise you.
Buy a naturally mated queen bee
With natural mating, queens are mated at the home apiary by local drones, making precise breeding control difficult. Naturally mated Carnica or Buckfast queens can usually be shipped from mid-April onwards.
Buy a mating-station-mated queen bee
Mating-station-mated queens are deliberately paired with drones of the same breed, ensuring absolute genetic purity. These queens are usually ready for shipping from early April, weather permitting.

Buy queen bees online – rely on safe shipping
The well-being of our bees is very important to us. That is why we use specially designed introduction boxes for the sale and shipping of queen bees, ensuring safe and protected transport. These boxes also contain attendant bees and sufficient food to make the journey as comfortable as possible.
All queen bees are shipped exclusively via express delivery, which will be announced to you a few days in advance. We kindly ask you to be present on the day of delivery to receive the shipment.
Before every shipment, we carefully check the health of each queen bee and, upon request, include a comprehensive health certificate.
Our tip: Are you a professional beekeeper and require large quantities of Carnica or Buckfast queen bees? Simply contact us by phone (+49 (0) 6187 / 207 57 86) or email – we will be happy to arrange special conditions together with you.

Buying a queen bee – how to introduce her into your colony
Do you already have a bee colony and are only missing a queen to ensure cohesion and long-term survival? In the Bienenzucht-Profi online shop, you can buy queen bees that meet exceptionally high breeding standards and offer above-average health.
To ensure successful introduction, make sure that no queen or nucleus colony is present in the hive beforehand. Any existing queen should be removed around nine days prior, along with all emergency queen cells.
For integration, simply use the introduction cage in which the queen is delivered. Hang the closed cage inside the hive for approximately 48 hours. We recommend introducing the cage in the evening, when all bees are inside the hive and relatively calm. After this acclimation period, open the cage so the colony can accept the queen. You can also read the detailed guide on our blog on how to introduce a queen bee properly.
If you have any further questions about purchasing queen bees or need additional information about introduction, feel free to contact our team of professional beekeepers with many years of experience. We are available by phone (+49 (0) 6187 / 207 57 86) or email – just get in touch!
