In Germany alone, there are many different frame sizes available, as well as a wide range of materials – most beekeepers have their own preferred system they focus on. Zander wooden hive according to Liebig – buy a complete beehive

Especially beginner beekeepers and passionate hobbyists rely on our professional Zander wooden hives based on the Liebig system. The high-quality craftsmanship and flexibility, made possible by freely removable and expandable hive boxes, make our Zander wooden hive unique. The foundation is always the bottom board, which is made of high-quality stainless steel mesh. Any coatings on the metal are, of course, completely harmless to bees. The wooden entrance reducer is also included in the set – we use high-quality wood that is ideal for outdoor use and offers excellent durability. The three Zander Liebig standard boxes included in the hive are also made of wood and provide space for 10 frames each. The untreated natural wood is visually appealing as well: its light surface, largely free of knots, gives it an elegant appearance. Optionally, you can choose between a thermally insulated lid made of wood or metal.
The hives are fully screwed, glued, and completely waterproof. We place great value on natural materials to provide bees with a natural and original habitat. Therefore, we do not apply any coating to the hives. However, if you plan to place the hive outdoors without protection, we recommend treating it beforehand with a special coating designed for beehives to ensure durability and protect it from weather conditions. This way, you will enjoy your high-quality Zander wooden hive according to Liebig for many years – and benefit from beekeeping equipment that satisfies both you and your bees.

Design your own wooden hive – with boxes, metal lid and more

Not everyone has enough space to place a hive with multiple boxes in their garden, on a balcony, or in the surrounding environment. That’s why we offer the individual components of our complete set separately. Build your own hive according to your needs using the Liebig Zander deep box, the Liebig Zander shallow box, or a Liebig Zander half box. Of course, you can also purchase the thermally insulated Zander Liebig quality lid made of wood with a wooden frame or as a galvanized metal lid on wood. The dimensions of all components are standardized according to Liebig, making them compatible with existing hives that can be replaced or expanded. Beekeeping equipment – shipping

If you would like to purchase a beehive from us, you have several options. Due to the size and weight of the hive, shipping can be challenging, so collection on site is often a good alternative. We are happy to coordinate a suitable pickup time with you in advance. Upon request, we can also introduce you to the structure of a hive and show you how to create a suitable home for your bees using a Liebig Zander system. If collection is not an option, we will gladly ship the hives and beekeeping equipment to you – for larger orders, we use a freight carrier.
