APICOLTURA Incubator Compact Solution with Maximum Functionality

The APICOLTURA series incubators by Fiem are versatile devices designed for modern beekeeping. They combine three key applications in one system:

• Queen bee incubation

• Flower pollen drying

• Gentle liquefaction of crystallized honey

This combination allows efficient use of space, time, and energy and makes the incubators suitable for both professional beekeeping operations and ambitious breeding facilities.

Queen Bee Incubation

The incubator enables the controlled continuation of the queen cell development cycle from the fifth day after grafting until shortly before emergence. During this phase, constant temperature and humidity conditions ensure uniform queen development.

This method allows reliable planning of emergence times, even under changing weather conditions. After emergence, queens can be marked and introduced into colonies within four days.

Flower Pollen Drying

With optional shelving systems made of food grade micro mesh, the incubator can be used for hygienic pollen drying. Uniform air circulation ensures gentle drying and supports pollen quality and shelf life.

Honey Liquefaction

Crystallized honey can be liquefied at a constant temperature of 40 °C inside the incubator. Jars or buckets are placed directly into the unit. Even heating ensures that flavor, aroma, and valuable nutrients are fully preserved.

The incubator features a robust design intended for continuous use:

• Insulated steel panels with polystyrene core

• Forced ventilation system with electronic motor fan

• Integrated interior lighting

• Water tray to support humidity

Precise Control with MINI LED ADVANCED

All models are equipped with the MINI LED ADVANCED thermostat. This control system operates with a microprocessor and a self-calibrating temperature and humidity sensor.

In combination with the automatic ultrasonic humidifier, the MINI LED ADVANCED electronic control unit regulates humidity fully automatically based on the measured and preset values. The programmable relative humidity range is between 20 and 90% RH, allowing precise adjustment for different operating requirements.

Control accuracy is ± 0.1 °C for temperature and ± 1.5% for relative humidity.

Operation and Safety

The incubator should be switched on at least 24 hours before use. A temperature of 33.3 °C is recommended for queen cell incubation. The ventilation system runs continuously to ensure uniform temperature distribution.

All devices comply with current EEC electrical safety directives. The external control panel protects electronic components from moisture and condensation.
