Versatile Incubator for Honey, Pollen and Queen Rearing
The APICOLTURA incubators by Fiem offer beekeepers a professional and versatile solution for several essential beekeeping processes. The unit combines three functions in one system:
the incubation of queen bees, the gentle drying of flower pollen, and the quality-preserving liquefaction of crystallized honey.
This combination makes the incubator particularly attractive for professional apiaries, breeding operations, and beekeepers who place high value on processing and product refinement.
Gentle Honey Liquefaction
Crystallized honey is a natural product and often forms when stored below 14–15 °C. Using the incubator, honey can be evenly and safely liquefied at a constant temperature of 40 °C.
Honey jars or buckets are placed directly inside the incubator. Thanks to the gentle and uniform heating process, all valuable ingredients, natural aroma, and sensory properties of the honey are fully preserved. This method is ideal for beekeepers who want to process honey gently without compromising quality.
Professional Flower Pollen Drying
With optional shelving systems made of food-grade micro-mesh, the incubator is perfectly suited for drying flower pollen. Continuous air circulation ensures uniform drying under controlled conditions.
This application allows pollen to be processed hygienically, stored safely, and marketed as a high-quality natural product. Color, structure, and nutrients are preserved as effectively as possible.
Additional Function: Queen Bee Incubation
In addition to honey and pollen processing, the incubator can also be used for the controlled incubation of queen cells. From the fifth day after grafting until shortly before emergence, the unit maintains stable temperature and humidity conditions.
This controlled environment enables reliable planning of emergence times and reduces weather-related risks. After emergence, queens can be marked and introduced into colonies within four days to ensure high acceptance rates.

Precise Control with MINI LED ADVANCED Thermostat
All models of the APICOLTURA series are equipped as standard with the MINI LED ADVANCED thermostat. This control system combines a microprocessor with a self-calibrating temperature and humidity sensor.
In combination with the automatic ultrasonic humidifier, the MINI LED ADVANCED electronic control unit regulates humidity fully automatically based on the detected and preset values. The programmable relative humidity range is between 20 and 90% RH, allowing precise adjustment to different operating conditions.
Control accuracy is ± 0.1 °C for temperature and ± 1.5% for relative humidity.

Operation and Safety
Before first use, the incubator should be preheated for at least 24 hours to verify correct temperature regulation. For queen cell incubation, a temperature of 33.3 °C is recommended. The ventilation system operates continuously to ensure homogeneous temperature distribution.
All units comply with current EEC electrical safety directives. The control panel is mounted externally to reliably protect electronic components from moisture and condensation.
