Precise Incubation of Queen Bees

The incubator allows the controlled continuation of the queen cell development process from the fifth day after grafting until shortly before emergence. During this sensitive phase, constant temperature and humidity conditions promote uniform, healthy queen development.

This method has been successfully used for many years in professional queen rearing, particularly to ensure reliable planning of emergence times even under unstable climatic conditions. An additional advantage is that queens can be marked immediately after emergence. For optimal acceptance, introduction into colonies within four days after emergence is recommended.

Efficient and Hygienic Drying of Flower Pollen

With optional shelves made of food-grade micro-mesh, the incubator can also be used for the gentle drying of flower pollen. Uniform air circulation ensures hygienic and controlled drying while preserving the pollen’s structure, color, and nutritional components.

This function provides significant added value for beekeepers who process pollen for personal use or market it as a high-quality natural product.

Gentle Liquefaction of Honey without Quality Loss

Crystallized honey can be safely and evenly liquefied in the incubator at a constant temperature of 40 °C. Honey containers—whether jars or buckets—are placed directly inside the incubator.

Thanks to homogeneous heating, valuable ingredients as well as taste and aroma are fully preserved. Since honey naturally crystallizes when stored below 14–15 °C, the incubator offers a gentle and controlled solution to return honey to its liquid form without any loss of quality.

MINI LED ADVANCED Thermostat – Maximum Control Accuracy

All models of the APICOLTURA series are equipped as standard with the MINI LED ADVANCED thermostat. This modern control system operates with a powerful microprocessor and a self-calibrating temperature and humidity sensor.

Control accuracy is ± 0.1 °C for temperature and ± 1.5% for relative humidity, enabling precise control of all processes.

In combination with the automatic ultrasonic humidifier, the MINI LED ADVANCED electronic control unit regulates humidity fully automatically based on the detected and preset values. The programmable relative humidity range is between 20 and 90% RH, allowing precise adjustment for different beekeeping applications.

Operating Instructions and Safety

Before first use, the incubator should be operated for at least 24 hours to verify correct temperature regulation. The recommended operating temperature for queen incubation is 33.3 °C. The ventilation system runs continuously to ensure uniform temperature distribution.

All models comply with current EEC electrical safety directives. The externally mounted control panel reliably protects electronic components from moisture and condensation.
