Material of the frames: (Weymouth) pine/ light pine (white pine)

• In contrast to some other types of wood, pine is ideal for outdoor use.
• The Zander hive is made of solid wood (natural wood) untreated - mostly knot-free.

The hives are screwed and glued (waterproof). Our hives are natural and are delivered in unpainted condition. It is recommended to paint the hive before the first use, for example with a wood preservative stain for bee hives.
