Our Dark European Bee Queens are mated in a purely dark bee mating region in Norway. Norway is considered to be the "purest" region for black bee/ brown bee (apis mellifera mellifera) populations.

In our opinion and after testing Black Bee from Norway is also purer than the black bees from other Scandinavian countries like Sweden, Finland, Ireland, Poland or the Baltic countries.

From mid June to August.

• Not as gentle as other bee races (Buckfast or Carnica).
• Unwillingness to swarming
• Better performance than regular bee races in production during rainy or windy weather.
• Directly breeded from artifically mated queens in a purely black bee saturated region.
• Ideal also for reproduction.
• Queen bees are marked with the year colour and/or number.

Attention: Dark European Bee and Caucasica can be less gentle!
